Dr. Govind P. Saha (CEO)
Dr. Govind P. Saha, SIALís Chief Executive Officer, specialises in strategic restructuring, regulatory economics, and technology and pricing issues for utilities in the electricity, gas, transport and infrastructure sectors. He has over 25 years of experience in these areas. Prior to establishing both Saha International (SAHA) and SIAL, Dr. Saha was a Vice President in Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and a Senior Partner in Ernst & Young (New Zealand) for 14 years. At Ernst & Young he was the Partner-in-charge of the Energy & Utilities consulting group. At Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Dr. Saha was the executive responsible for Energy & Utilities market restructuring services in the Asia Pacific region.
Richard Morison is a specialist financial and commercial advisor to major energy, utility and infrastructure projects. Prior to the operations of SAHA and SIAL, Richard was the Principal responsible for energy & utilities consulting at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young (Australia) and its predecessor: Ernst & Young. Richard is a chartered accountant and advises on major development projects, transactions, regulation and market reform, and has been consulting to the sector for over 20 years.
He has worked extensively in Australia and New Zealand and over the last 14 years in particular the Sub-Saharan African region assisting clients in Namibia, South Africa and in Nigeria. His key areas of expertise are:

- Market and regulatory structures for emerging markets
- Regulatory process and tariff advisory and modelling
- Business and project evaluations
- Financial and economic modelling
- Commercial agreements including power sales and fuel supply contracts.
Garth is a qualified engineer with over 30 yearsí experience in the energy industry, including work in the gas, petrochemical and electricity sectors. He is a specialist at developing power agreements and power system models for emerging markets. Garth was closely involved in the establishment of the New Zealand electricity market, sitting on a number of the working groups that designed the original market operations, and then through his appointment as a member of the group responsible for evolving dispatch procedures. He is experienced in the establishment of commercial risk management arrangements around utility projects. Garth has had wide experience in the drafting and negotiation of power purchase agreements and of fuel supply arrangements to support power and petrochemical operations. He has worked in the operation and management of major petrochemical plant. Garth is experienced in the establishment of commercial arrangements around new utility projects through work as a project manager or other consultancy engagements for a number of power, gas and petrochemical ventures.
Vanessa is a legally trained commercial power expert with over 15 years of experience gained working within the energy sector. She is a qualified attorney, holds B.Proc and LL.B degrees in law and has a Masters Degree in International Economic Law. Her dissertation, ďAn Internal Energy Market: Liberalising the Electricity Sector in the European UnionĒ, has provided her with an in-depth knowledge of the challenges of market design, security of supply, regulation and environmental sustainability currently facing the electricity sector
Prior to joining SAHA International (Pty) Ltd, Vanessa worked for Eskom Holdings Limited where she held various positions from Senior Contracts Advisor in the Generation and Distribution Divisions to Senior Consultant: Contracts Management in the Transmission Divisionís Energy Trading Department. She has been involved in various energy projects in the SADC region and energy trading in the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP). During her tenure, Vanessa also undertook a secondment to the Energy, Infrastructure and Project Financing Department of the London-based White and Case LLP.
